Privacy Policy
Effective October 17, 2026
Panlume is designed to help you cook with food you already have while collecting as little personal data as practical.
What stays on your device
Kitchen photos are analyzed on your iPhone and stay on your device. Your detected ingredients, meal preferences, saved meals, cooking history, and scan count are also stored locally. We do not upload your kitchen photos or sell them.
Account information
An account is required to use the app. If you choose email sign-in, our authentication provider, Supabase, processes your email address and a randomly assigned user ID so you can sign in, recover your password, and delete your account. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple and Supabase process the information needed to authenticate you.
Subscriptions
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives purchase history and an anonymous subscription identifier so Panlume can confirm Plus access, restore purchases, and understand whether subscription features are working. If you sign in, that identifier is linked to your Supabase user ID—not your email address.
How we use and share data
We use account and purchase data only for app functionality, customer support, security, and limited product analytics. We share it only with service providers needed to operate those functions. We do not sell personal data, use cross-app tracking, or serve targeted advertising.
Recipe photographs
Recipe photographs may be loaded directly from Unsplash. Unsplash receives your IP address and photo interaction data when its images load. Photographer and Unsplash links appear with these photos. We do not send your kitchen photos, email, or ingredient inventory with image requests. Read the Unsplash Privacy Policy for its handling of photo interaction data.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you remove it or delete the app. You can delete your account inside Panlume under Settings → Account. Subscription records remain subject to Apple’s and RevenueCat’s legal and financial retention requirements. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Your choices
You can use the core app without an account, deny camera or photo-library access, manage permissions in iOS Settings, and manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple.
